Vad är HMI?
Ett HMI (gränssnitt mellan människa och maskin) är användargränssnittet som ansluter en operatör till ett industriellt eller tekniskt system. En HMI översätter data från industriella styrsystem till visuella presentationer av systemen. På en HMI-kontrollpanel kan en operatör se en översikt av systemen och interagera med olika delar av en process, t.ex. slå på och stänga av brytare och pumpar, höja eller sänka temperaturer etc.Interaktionen mellan operatör och maskin sker oftast direkt på pekskärmen på en HMI-panel, men i vissa fall kombineras med knappsatser, funktionstangenter eller externa tangentbord. HMI:er kan vanligtvis kommunicera direkt med en mängd programmerbara logiska styrsystem (PLC) och andra industriella styrenheter, och ytterligare molnanslutning är en ökande trend för nyare HMI.
